Eliza Yar Bior is one of the students sponsored by The Rotary Club of Denver Southeast. In addition to her leadership role as a class monitor, Eliza also participates in the drama club in her high school. Recently, Eliza was asked what rights children have. This was her profound and poignant response:

A child has a right to be in school.
A child has a right to go to church.
A child has a right to be valued in the community.
A child has a right to life, to security, and to health.
A child has a right to say what he/she wants.
A child has a right to be loved by parents.

We at Project Education South Sudan are so very proud of Eliza for her resiliency, strength, and smarts. We are also grateful to the Rotary Club of Denver Southeast for their continued support of Eliza, and other girls like her.
